backing THE BID
Happy new year folks! 2022 has started with a bang as last weekend I conducted Manchester Camerata in their annual Viennese New Year Gala Concert with soloist Sarah Redgwick. Everything went down really well! Even my jokes!
Manchester Camerata New Year Concert
I conduct and present these concerts. It is a very different experience to just conducting and I love the opportunity to turn around and engage with the audience. Usually I am the only person with my back to the audience! Over the years I have developed my own style, gained experience and love the interaction with the audience and musicians.

Thanks to APAC - Asia Pacific Activities Conference - for inviting me to present virtually from the United Nations International School of Hanoi. I was supposed to be in Hanoi, Vietnam this time last year, and I am pleased that connections can be strengthened virtually! It was was pleasure to work with students from around the world. Thanks for making me so welcome.
If you want to see me in action this month, I am conducting Stockport Symphony Orchestra on the 29th January in a brilliant programme featuring Elgar's Violin Concerto with the INCREDIBLE VIOLINIST Callum Smart.
