Manchester University Music Society: Welcome Concert
Join us for the first Music Society concert of the academic year, featuring three contrasting French works. We introduce our newest music students in “Fresher’s Chorus” who sing Poulenc’s eclectic Gloria, followed by Louise Farrenc’s (1834) overture, transitioning classical and romantic idioms. Ibert’s flute concerto exhibits florid virtuosity, alongside Arturo Màrquez’s most popular work.
